Any student who has passed the higher secondary examination or any other examination equivalent to it is eligible to B.A. course on the basis of selection of marks determined by the college authority following the guidelines of The University of Burdwan. The process of admission is being done through online from the Academic Session: 2016-17 as per the order of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal and the rules circulated by the University of Burdwan vide memo no.: R.C/perm/Adm/56 dated 16.05.2016.
Admission to B.A. Course starts immediately after the publication of the result of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and closes on such date as fixed by the University of Burdwan. There is reservation of seats for S.C. (22%), S.T. (6%), OBC-A (10%), OBC-B (7%) and P.H. (3%) in each subject both Honours and General courses.
A student will be eligible to apply for the Honours and General course within four years including the original year of his/her passing.
Documents required at the time of Enrollment
a) The student should produce all the original documents of the previous public examination for verification at the time of admission.
b) They must produce xerox copies of certificates and mark sheets of all the previous examinations. In case of reservation, attested xerox copy of caste certificate must be attached.
c) Recent passport size photograph must be attached in specified spaces.
d) Migration certificate in original is also necessary in case of the students coming from other states.
